Visit to Tbilisi State University

On September 13, Prof. INOUE Noriyuki (Vice-President in Charge of International Exchange) visited Tbilisi State University (TSU) in Georgia. Prof. HIROKO Masumoto (Dean, Graduate School of Humanities), who has research exchanges with Prof. Alexander Kartosia (Faculty of Humanities, TSU), accompanied Prof. Inoue.

On the day, the Kobe University delegation paid a courtesy visit to Prof. George Sharvashidze (Rector, TSU). From TSU, Prof. Mikheil Chkhenkeli (Vice-President for International Relations), Prof. Kartosia, Ms. Maia Menteshashvili (Deputy Head, Department of Foreign Relations) attended the meeting. On this occasion, a signing ceremony of the two universities’ academic cooperation agreement was held, and the attendees discussed future academic cooperation.

In conjunction with this visit, on September 14, the delegation also paid a courtesy visit to the Ambassador of Japan to Georgia and the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia.

Kobe University hopes that the visit will enhance its collaboration with TSU.
