Biosignal Research Center

The Biosignal Research Center was founded in June 1990 as project-oriented research laboratories in the University focusing on the mechanisms of intracellular signal transduction. The Center expanded gradually, and was reorganized as a new research center in April 2000, with thirteen faculty members and two visiting professors. It conducts research on the signaling network for the control of cellular functions (proliferation, differentiation, motility, death, etc.) in response to various stimuli, nutrient starvation, and genotoxic stresses, which involves post-translational modifications (phosphorylation, ubiquitination, etc.), degradation, and cleavage of proteins.
