Graduate School of Human Development and Environment,
Graduate School of Humanities,
Graduate School of Economics
This collaborative project of Kobe University's Faculty of Human Development, Faculty of Letters and Faculty of Economics aims to develop and promote Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) from an action research perspective. Specifically, the three Faculties will offer collaborative ESD courses and courses of mutual exchange between the Faculties with special emphasis on action research, or fieldwork. Students can join the various fieldwork offered by the three Faculties to gain practical experience. The curriculum, which incorporates each faculty's unique features, involves partnerships with outside organizations and groups.
This course was established to comprehensively consider various issues involved in developing a sustainable society, such as environmental, human rights, social welfare, international understanding, health, etc. It is also meant to train individuals willing to partner with frontline stakeholders, and to participate in multi- perspective problem solving.
