Six participants of JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency) Group Training arrived at Kobe University for a visit with Vice President/ Director in charge of International Exchange on April 6. Participants came from Brazil, Columbia, the Philippines, Syria and Turkey to study an "Agrobiotechnology" course at Kobe University Graduate School of Agricultural Science and JICA Hyogo International Center, which is based on a JICA technical cooperation plan to train personnel from developing countries.
Twenty professors and associate professors from the Graduate School of Agricultural Science, including Vice President NAKAMURA and Professor KAWANO Junichi, will provide them with research guidance for the four month period of their training.
Mr. Eizen Irei, the Director General of JICA Hyogo and Professor KAWANO also attended the visit in which participants were given a chance to talk about their study goals.
