As we all know, the traumatic events of the 11th March in Japan, the earthquake, resulting tsunami and nuclear reactor incidents impacted on the lives of everyone inside and outside Japan.

We made these videos in August 2011, to talk with international students currently studying at Kobe University, about how the Great East Japan earthquake and its aftermath impacted on their studies in Japan, in an attempt to convey how students feel about the current situation in Japan, and especially the Kobe area, 6 months on from the disaster.

The interviews were conducted in an informal setting, in the office of one of the members of staff of the International Student Center, Associate Professor Richard Harrison.
