Admission Policy of the Faculty of Agriculture

The Faculty of Agriculture's philosophy, "The science of sustainable coexistence" is to contribute to the existence and welfare of mankind by resolving various issues pertaining to the keywords of "Food, Environment and Human life and health from Farm to Table". Based on this, the Faculty requires the following kind of students with the aim of training them to gain a broad knowledge and deep understanding founded on agricultural sciences, within a comprehensive academic program including natural and social sciences, as well as an international outlook and rich human character. They will be able to contribute to communities both locally and internationally through research and technology development in the areas of stable food supply, environmental protection and creation of new biotech industries and food safety.

- Students with fundamental understanding, expression and other communication skills in Japanese and English
- Students who are able to understand the foundation of natural and social sciences
- Students with a strong interest in the interrelationships between man and nature that are willing to tackle identifying unknown phenomena and developing original technologies
- Students who possess a strong desire to participate in local as well as international social activities.
