The Times Higher Education World University Rankings has named Kobe University one of the world’s top 100 universities with the best student-to-staff ratio. All of the top 100 are within the 600 best universities in the World University Rankings 2016.

Kobe University has an average of 8.4 students for every staff member, far below the average of 16.5 students per staff member for all 800 universities in the THE World University Rankings. A low student-staff ratio indicates that a university is well-equipped to offer smaller class sizes and provide individual students with personal supervision and support during their education.

The THE World University Rankings use a comprehensive methodology to independently evaluate universities across the five core areas of teaching, research, citations, international outlook, and industry income.
