On 10 February, Mr. Chang Jen Joe, Director General of Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Osaka (TECO), paid a courtesy visit to Professor TAKEDA Hiroshi, President of Kobe University. Afterwards both sides discussed the existing academic collaboration between Kobe University and universities in Taiwan, and its further expansion. Kobe University representatives introduced academic collaboration with National Chengchi University and National Taiwan University in the fields of Law and Engineering. In order to further develop the existing collaboration, Mr. Chang proposed to invite President TAKEDA to Taiwan and organize meetings with potential partner universities. Finally, both sides agreed to cooperate in materializing this proposal.
