To all staff and students,
Today (April 7), a state of emergency was declared by the Japanese government based on the coronavirus special measures law. This covers 7 areas of Japan including Hyogo prefecture and will last for one month. The prefectural government is expected to urge all residents to take steps such as refraining from going outside.
In response to this, the university held a Novel Coronavirus Response Office meeting to discuss our measures regarding the current novel coronavirus situation and issue the following emergency announcement to our members:
1. In principle, students should stay at home and refrain from going outside for unnecessary and non-urgent reasons.
2. Faculty and staff members should work from home where possible.
