Important: January 13th updates to Kobe University’s Activity Restriction Measures

Due to the recent increase in coronavirus cases in the Kansai region, a state of emergency has been reissued by the Japanese government for Osaka, Kyoto and Hyogo prefecture. In line with this, ‘Kobe University’s Activity Restriction Measures to Prevent Widespread Novel Coronavirus Infection’ have been altered on January 13th as follows:

The following restriction categories have been designated Level 1 (Partial restrictions):

  • Classes (Lectures, Seminars, Practical Work)
  • Coming to University (Students)

The following restriction categories have been designated Level 2 (Low level restrictions):

  • Research Activities (moved up from Level 1)
  • Extracurricular Activities (students) (moved up from Level 1)
  • Internal Meetings
  • Business trips, private travel (everyone)
  • Administration
