To all students,

In accordance with requests from Hyogo Prefecture, Kobe University has prohibited all student club and circle activities taking place outside the prefecture. Activities taking place within Hyogo Prefecture are permitted as long as strict infection prevention measures are followed.

However, the currently prevalent omicron variant is highly transmissible and even within extracurricular activity groups, a number of students have caught the virus. These circumstances are impacting everyone’s experiences of student life and extracurricular activities.

In the midst of this sudden increase in infections even at our university, a quasi-state of emergency was issued for Hyogo Prefecture on January 27. In light of this declaration, we have decided to prohibit all club activities that involve overnight stays for the time being (including those in Hyogo Prefecture).

We ask for the understanding and cooperation of all students in this matter.
