In the Graduate School of Economics more than half of the student population is from overseas. Every day I hear debates in English expressing the diverse perspectives of students with cultural backgrounds that include Kuwait, Ghana and China.

In this international environment, I research the creation of systems that provide economic incentives for the solution of environmental issues. Research into solving environmental issues is not just the province of the sciences. The fundamental cause of these problems is human activity, so I believe that economics has a lot to contribute to this field.
