Kobe University participated in the Experience Japan Exhibition 2014 held in London on November 15. The exhibition, hosted by Keio University and co-hosted by the British Council, marked its fourth anniversary. It is an event to provide information to students and working adults in London who are interested in studying in Japan, and to promote study at Japanese universities. Twenty-three universities from Japan participated in the exhibition by holding a booth or distributing promotional materials, and representatives from each university responded to inquiries from participants.
On the following day, November 16, Kobe University also participated in the Study in Japan Fair in Paris 2014 which was hosted by Meiji University and co-hosted by Campus France. Twenty-one Japanese universities participated in the fair, and representatives from each university responded to inquiries from participants interested in studying in Japan.
Both half-day events in London and Paris were a great success. More than 450 people participated in London, and 520 people in Paris. Participants asked about the details of studying in Japan: for example, information about faculties and graduate schools matching their interests, or about tuition fees, scholarships, and courses that are conducted in English. The number of requests for information from participants clearly demonstrated a high level of interest in studying in Japan.
