On May 11, the Uttaradit Rajabhat University delegation led by Dr. Rapin Posrie, Associate Professor of the Education Faculty, paid a courtesy visit to Professor INOUE Noriyuki, the Executive Vice President in Charge of International Exchange at Kobe University. The delegation, consisting of six faculty members and eighteen doctoral course students, participated in the Kobe University/ Uttaradit Rajabhat University co-hosted International Workshop on Education and Human Resources Development in the 21st Century held at the Kobe University Graduate School of International Cooperation Studies. The meeting was also attended by Professor OGAWA Keiichi from the Graduate School of International Cooperation Studies, who chaired the workshop.
At the meeting, the workshop's purpose and background were explained first. Associate Professor Rapin Posrie expressed his gratitude for Kobe University's support and cooperation, and his hope that results achieved by the workshop would help to improve basic education in Thailand. Professor INOUE stated that he hoped to see further developments in research exchange between the two universities, and gave a welcome greeting wishing them a fruitful stay.
Since the student members of the delegation are elementary and junior high school teachers, they visited Kobe University Elementary School and Junior High School the next day. They observed actual education sessions at the schools to gain a deeper understanding of Japanese education and had a lively discussion on water resources with students at the high school.
