On June 26, the Consul General of the Republic of Panama in Kobe, Mr. Víctor Javier Almengor Caballero, paid a visit to President FUJISAWA Masato.

Their meeting was also attended by the following people: MINOHARA Toshihiro (Professor of the Graduate School of Law), TANAKA Junko (Executive Director of the Americas Division/Professor of the Graduate School of Intercultural Studies) and HANADA Eva (Associate Professor of the Institute for Promoting International Partnerships).

President Fujisawa began by welcoming the visitor. Consul General Almengor talked about the educational collaboration between academic institutions of Panama and Japanese universities and municipalities. He also expressed hopes of strengthening mutual student exchanges, and discussed the possibilities of expanding the academic collaboration in the maritime field.

It is hoped that this visit will allow us to promote cooperation between the two countries, and further strengthen our educational collaboration with academic institutions of Panama.
