On July 18, Claire Green, associate director of Global Strategy and Partnerships at the University of Queensland, and Lisa Drew, manager of Global Strategy and Partnerships, called on President FUJISAWA Masato of Kobe University.
From Kobe University, the meeting was attended by participants including Executive Assistant KONDO Narihiko, vice director of the Institute for Promoting International Partnership, NAKAZAWA Minato, director of the Asia & Oceania Division of the Institute for Promoting International Partnerships and professor at the Graduate School of Health Sciences, and SHINOHARA Masakazu, professor at the Graduate School of Medicine.
During the courtesy call, President Fujisawa expressed his intention to further expand the exchange between the two universities, referring to the ongoing student exchange between the universities’ respective Schools of Medicine and the various exchange events held in celebration of the 40th anniversary of the sister city relationship between Kobe and Brisbane. The participants also discussed the possibility of concluding an international cooperation agreement.


In the subsequent meeting, MATSUSHIMA Noboru, professor at the Graduate School of Business Administration, also joined the discussion and the participants exchanged the views on specific research fields for potential collaboration.

This visit is expected to further deepen exchanges between the two universities in the future.
