On October 16, H.E. Mr. Md. Daud ALI, ambassador of the Embassy of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, Tokyo, called on Executive Vice President TAMAKI Hisashi, director of the Institute for Promoting International Partnerships.

From Kobe University, the meeting was attended by participants including NAKAZAWA Minato, director of the Asia & Oceania Division, Institute for Promoting International Partnerships; OGAWA Keiichi, professor at the Graduate School of International Cooperation Studies; HANADA Eva, associate professor at the Institute for Promoting International Partnerships; and ASUKE Soichiro, assistant professor at the Graduate School of Agricultural Science. 

During the meeting, following a welcome message from Executive Vice President Tamaki, Professor Ogawa introduced the academic cooperation and student exchange between Kobe university and Bangladesh. Ambassador Ali reflected on his time studying Japanese in the Kansai area 30 years ago and emphasized the importance of Japan for Bangladeshi students studying abroad. He also expressed his intention to increase the number of Bangladeshi undergraduate students at Kobe University, and the participants actively exchanged views on potential future collaboration in this area.

This visit is expected to further deepen exchanges between the two countries.
