On October 7, a delegation from Renmin University of China (RUC) led by Party Secretary ZHANG Donggang paid a courtesy visit to Kobe University President FUJISAWA Masato.

From Kobe University, Executive Vice President TAMAKI Hisashi, director of the Institute for Promoting International Partnerships, and HANADA Eva, associate professor at the Institute for Promoting International Partnerships, were in attendance.

During the discussion, based on the inter-university academic exchange agreement concluded in July 2003, the parties exchanged views on strengthening collaboration in fields such as law, economics and business administration, as well as on expanding short-term student exchange programs.

The RUC side expressed its intention to further broaden student exchanges — not only through reciprocal exchange programs but also by implementing international collaborative learning programs with participation from students of both universities and by pursuing double-degree programs.

This visit is expected to further deepen exchanges between the two universities.
