On October 10, 15 students participating in the Kobe University CAMPUS Asia Plus Program paid a courtesy visit to Prof. Hisashi Tamaki, Executive Vice President, Director of the Project Promotion Agency, and Director of the International Cooperation Promotion Organization. Prof. Mika Hayashi, Chairperson of the Program Implementation Committee, Prof. Keiichi Ogawa, Vice Chairperson, Assistant Prof. Tatsuya Maisawa, and Project Assistant Prof. Ayumu Yagi (All from the Graduate School of International Cooperation) were present.
The following students participated in this courtesy visit.
- Double Degree Program: 2 students from the Graduate School of International Studies, Korea University, Korea, and 1 student from the School of International Relations and Public Affairs, Fudan University, China.
- Exchange Students: 3 students from the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, National University of Laos
- Short-term study abroad: 2 students from the Faculty of Nursing, Chulalongkorn University, Thailand
- Short-term training: 7 students who participated in short-term training from Kobe University in August-September, including the incentive course at National University of Laos and internships at the Ministry of Education and Sports of Laos.


The students introduced themselves in their respective fields of study and shared their aspirations and experiences through the program. After that, Prof. Tamaki encouraged them to study abroad as a very extremely valuable opportunity to be aware of the diversity of values and to make it meaningful experience. In addition, Prof. Ogawa mentioned the relationship between the visiting institutions and facilities in Laos and Japan's Official Development Assistance (ODA) and introduced that the Vice President of the National University of Laos, which will be established for 30 years next year, once studied at Kobe University. Through the CAMPUS Asia Plus program, diverse exchanges continue, and it is expected that cooperation and mutual understanding between the partner universities will continue to deepen in the future.
