From December 3 to December 6, 2024, Project Associate Professor IKEMURA Akiko (Graduate School of Agricultural Science/Center for Next Generation, Institute for Promotion of Higher Education) and Project Assistant Professor YU Wenhsin (Global Education Center) visited Taiwan to host several information sessions introducing Kobe University.
During the visit, the delegation held sessions at National Chengchi University (NCCU) and National Taiwan University (NTU). Kobe University have concluded an academic exchange agreement with NCCU in 2017 and with NTU in 2002, and both universities have since maintained active exchanges involving inbound and outbound student mobility. To further deepen the partnerships, Project Associate Professor Ikemura and Project Assistant Professor Yu have introduced Kobe University in Japanese, English and Taiwanese Mandarin in both institutions.
The information session at NCCU on December 5 was hosted by Department of Japanese Language and Culture. It was attended by Assistant Professor Ping-Chieh Yeh (Chair), Associate Professor SANTOH Natsuo, and Kobe University alumni Professor Su Hsia Yang (Ph.D, Graduate School of Humanities). Students at NCCU participated actively and demonstrated a high level of Japanese proficiency.

The information session held at NTU on December 6 was hosted by the Office of International Affairs. In addition to the introduction by faculty delegation, two students who joined the Kobe University 2024 Summer Program in Japanese Language & Culture gave a splendid presentation about their Kobe University experience.
Both of the sessions attracted more than 30 participants. Students listened attentively and many asked detailed questions individually after the sessions, demonstrating their strong interest in studying at Kobe University.

During their stay in Taiwan, the delegation also introduced Kobe University to the students and faculty members at Taipei Municipal Zhong Shan Girls High School, National Taiwan Normal University, Tamkang University and Shih Hsin University, while exchanging opinions on programs for international students.




Kobe University will continue to promote academic and educational exchange and further strengthen collaborations with educational institutions across the Asia–Oceania region.
