Medical check-ups will be conducted from April 2026. Each check-up is divided into the following categories. Please follow the instructions listed under the category below that applies to you.

  • Medical check-ups must be taken for the prevention and early detection of diseases. If you need a certificate of medical check-ups issued by the Healthcare Center for job hunting, etc., please make sure to take a medical check-up at this university.
  • When a student fails to receive a medical check-up, the student must have a medical certificate issued by a medical institution that includes items equivalent to the medical check-up and submit the certificate to the Healthcare Center.

In-person Medical Check-up

In-person medical check-ups will be conducted in the following categories. Please refer to the number that applies to you.

1) Students who will graduate during academic year 2026 (i.e.,4th year undergraduate students, 2nd year master's students, 3rd year doctoral students, etc., NOT including those to whom categories 2-5 apply). 
2) Students enrolled in a school (2nd and 3rd year undergraduate students, 2nd year doctoral students, etc., NOT including those to whom categories 1 or 3-5 apply)
3) Students of the Faculty of Ocean Science and Technology (2nd year and above) or student of the Graduate School of Maritime Sciences
4) Students of the School of Medicine, Faculty of Medicine (2nd year and above), students of the Graduate School of Medicine
5) Students of the School of Medicine, Faculty of Health Sciences (2nd year and above), students of the Graduate School of Health Sciences
6) Makeup day: Students who were unable to undergo a medical checkup on the above dates (Rokkodai Campus)

Regarding the chest X-ray

You will have a chest X-ray as part of the check-up, so please be sure to wear appropriate clothing:

  • You are required to wear a plain T-shirt for the X-ray examination.
  • You should NOT wear a dress (or other clothing that covers both your upper and lower body) during the X-ray examination. Necklaces and jewelry are also NOT permitted.
  • Please do not wear underwear with metal or plastic wires or similar components during the X-ray examination.
  • If you have one, you can wear a T-shirt with padded inserts during the examination.

For students who are unable to attend the health checkup on the scheduled dates listed above, we have set aside the following alternate dates.
Students wishing to take the checkup should come to the venue without making a reservation.
* Please arrive with plenty of time to spare, as the venue may be crowded.
* Students from the Fukae, Kusunoki, and Myodani Campuses who wish to take the checkup should contact the branch office of the Health Management Center at their respective campus by Tuesday, April 21.
