On May 14, Professor Daniel David, rector of Babeș-Bolyai University, and Professor Oana Alexandra David called on President FUJISAWA Masato. 
From Kobe University, the meeting was attended by participants including INOUE Hirotaka, professor at the Graduate School of Intercultural Studies, KARASHIMA Masato, associate professor at the Graduate School of Intercultural Studies, and HANADA Eva, associate professor at the Office for Promoting International Cooperation. Lecturer Anisoara Pavelea and Lecturer Iulia Lorina Culic, who are currently visiting the Graduate School of Intercultural Studies under the Erasmus+ mobility program, also joined the meeting.

During the meeting, President Fujisawa expressed his appreciation for the long-standing partnership between the two universities, particularly in the area of student exchange. Rector David then introduced several newly established faculties and educational programs at Babeș-Bolyai University. The participants exchanged views on expanding research collaboration in the fields of medicine and psychology, as well as on the possibility of implementing short-term exchange programs and online collaborative classes.

The delegation also visited the Kobe University and Babeș-Bolyai University International Collaboration Centre, one of Kobe University’s overseas offices. Kobe University and Babeș-Bolyai University established mutual overseas offices within each other’s universities in 2018, and the office is currently administered by the Graduate School of Intercultural Studies.

Afterwards, the delegation visited the Graduate School of Intercultural Studies. They met with KITADA Ryo, professor at the Graduate School of Intercultural Studies, and MAKITA Kai, associate professor at the Graduate School of Intercultural Studies to discuss the educational system of psychology in Japan and research in cognitive neuroscience. Discussions focused on MRI and VR technologies, robot-assisted psychological support and the potential for joint research and student exchange programs. Finally, exchange students from Babeș-Bolyai University currently studying at the Graduate School of Intercultural Studies joined the meeting, which concluded in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
