第9回 KUEB Premier Seminar× ASPIRE/GCBA 2026 Annual Retreat（Day 3）を、下記の通り実施します。
このセミナーは、アメリカ国立科学財団（National Science Foundation: NSF）のGlobal Center for Biofoundry Applications（GCBA）と科学技術振興機構（JST）の先端国際共同研究推進事業（ASPIRE）との合同開催です。
米国、英国、韓国、日本の最前線で活躍する研究者が集い、バイオエコノミー政策とバイオファウンドリーの役割につき議論します。

講演要旨

The seminar will involve a series of short talks highlighting the role of biofoundries in Japan, South Korea, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

Speakers will discuss recent policy developments surrounding biofoundries, biomanufacturing and synthetic biology, within the context of broader developments in bioeconomy policy in different national settings.

As a panel discussion with Dr. Kondo, the presentations will additionally discuss key challenges in translating biofoundry capabilities into societal implementation and scale-up, with particular attention to issues such as infrastructure and skilled workforce development, data management, standardization, ensuring safety/security, downstream processing (DSP), and sustainable funding sources.
